The Wroclaw Centre for Networking and Supercomputing located by the Wroclaw University of Technology is the administrator of the WASK network. Between 2006 and 2008 FONBUD executed a dozen of assignments expanding the network. The extension included placing protective pipelines with fiber optic cables underground. The WASK network is a backbone of the cities broadband network, which joins with local networks and enables accessing domestic and foreign internet services.
