On July 5th 2016 FONBUD signed a framework agreement with Orange Polska SA guaranteeing the company’s participation in the expansion of the FTTH network across the country planned by the telecom operator. The FTTH networks are the next stage of the fixed networks’ evolution which has been occurring over the last 25 years. Thanks to this technology the end-user is given direct access to the fiber optic cable used to create this network. The contract will be carried out under the “design and build” procurement procedure. Besides the construction of the FTTH networks, the scope of work also includes building other fixed networsks.
